You can try out our mattresses and slatted frames, as well as duvets, pillows and beds by appointment in our showroom in Wangen an der Aare or at a specialist retailer near you.
Especially if you have problems, it is important that the bed system is tailored to your needs. The correct alignment of the spine and the appropriate ergonomic support relieves the strain on the musculoskeletal system. We recommend that you seek personal advice, where you can also try out the mattresses yourself.
Ensure good ventilation and choose mattresses with natural upholstery. We recommend that you take a look at the dream-away climaxx, evos and byblos mattresses.
Natural upholstery pads such as pure Swiss sheep's wool, the finest Swiss alpaca wool and soft tussah silk enhance our mattresses. Thanks to their high heat retention properties and ability to wick away moisture, they guarantee a balanced and natural sleeping environment. The Airvent perforation makes the pads even more breathable and elastic.
Our mattresses dream-away climaxx, air natura and byblos, as well as the mattresses from the collection range are metal-free. LINK Matratzen
Our mattresses with climate fiber pads are vegan and anti-allergic. LINK Matratzen
We recommend our mattresses up to a maximum body weight of around 130 kg.
The mattress versions with synthetic cushion pads are washable up to 60° C. After the wash cycle, pull the mattress cover back into shape. It is best to dry it lying flat on a terry towel. The cover can only be put back on the mattress core once it is completely dry.
Everyone has different feelings. What is right for your partner is not necessarily right for you. Only YOU can find your personal comfort mattress. Always visit a specialist retailer and get advice. Take enough time to try out the mattress. You are also welcome to get advice in our showroom.

Neither, your ideal mattress should provide you with sufficient support and at the same time give you a comfortable lying experience. Get advice in our showroom without obligation.
We make (almost) everything possible. For more detailed information, contact our sales team.
The insert frame forms the basis of our bed. It provides a large part of the support when sleeping. The mattress unfolds its comfort on it. The mattress and insert frame are coordinated components of a system. Both are developed together and in parallel at roviva in order to achieve the perfect sleeping experience. We therefore recommend that you give the insert frame sufficient consideration when buying a mattress and replace it together.
Do you both sleep in the middle? Then we recommend a continuous mattress with just one base frame. If everyone sleeps on their side or the BMI of the couple is too different, you might prefer 2 separate mattresses and base frames that match your BMI.

System frame
Frequently asked questions about system frame
During the mains isolation, electricity only flows when the system is switched on. At all other times, the mains voltage is already switched off at the socket. This means that you are not exposed to "electrosmog" at night and also saves energy. The emergency lowering ensures that in the event of a power failure, the system frame is returned to the desired position by a battery.
As with mattresses, there is a recommended service life for slatted frames. As a rule, a slatted frame should be replaced every 8-10 years. Ideally, you should match the slatted frame to the mattress when you buy it. We would be happy to help you with this.
Factors such as age, visible damage, deformation, noise and decreasing spring force are indicators that a replacement is necessary. For optimal sleep quality, the slatted frame should be checked regularly and replaced if necessary.
A damp cloth should be used to clean slatted frames. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth to avoid damp residue and unsightly stains on the wood.
Choose a slatted frame with integrated shoulder support together with a mattress that also offers shoulder support and complement the whole thing with a neck support pillow. This allows the shoulder to sink optimally when lying on your side, the spine is positioned anatomically correctly and the neck area can relax.
Boxspring bed
Frequently asked questions about the box spring bed
A box spring bed is a high-quality bed system that is characterised by its special structure. The name is derived from the English term ‘box spring’, which means ‘sprung box’. In contrast to conventional beds, a box-spring bed consists of several coordinated components that together ensure exceptional sleeping comfort.
The history of the box spring bed dates back to the 19th century. It originated in the USA and Canada. From there, the concept first conquered the Scandinavian countries and is now also very popular in Switzerland. Originally used in luxury hotels, the box-spring bed is now very popular in private bedrooms.
- In a traditional bed, the mattress lies on a slatted frame that is built into a bed frame.
- In a box spring bed, on the other hand, the mattress rests on a sprung base box, which already offers integrated spring comfort.
- The box spring bed is usually significantly higher than conventional beds, which makes it easier to get in and out of bed.
The box-spring bed structure typically consists of three main components:
Choosing the right box spring mattress is crucial for an optimal lying experience:
- Pocket spring mattresses: Ideal for box spring beds as they perfectly complement the spring properties of the base box. Our dream-away climaxx, butterfly sapphire and collection rovinight mattresses are particularly suitable.
- Cold foam mattresses: Alternatively for people who prefer a firmer lying sensation. e.g. our dream-away climaxx mattress.
- Hybrid mattresses: Combine spring core with foam layers for balanced comfort.
The mattress should always be tailored to individual needs and harmonise with the base box.
The topper is the crowning glory of the box-spring bed structure and fulfils several important functions:
- It provides additional lying comfort and a pleasant surface feel
- It protects the mattress underneath from dirt and wear and tear
- It evens out slight unevenness and improves the lying climate
- In double beds, it can bridge the ‘gap’ in the centre
Our toppers are available in various materials such as cold foam (collection porotex topper, collection graphène topper, visco foam (dream-away visco topper with memory effect) or latex (dream-away latex topper), each with different properties in terms of temperature regulation and adaptability.
You can find out more about toppers in our blog.

For optimum hygiene, we recommend
- Weekly vacuuming of the surfaces with low suction power
- Monthly turning and airing of the mattress
- Basic cleaning of all components every six months
- Immediate treatment of stains
The following applies to the care of box spring bed fabric covers:
- Use a hoover with an upholstery nozzle and reduced suction power
- Treat stains immediately with a damp, not too wet cloth
- Special upholstery and textile cleaners are suitable for stubborn stains
- Always follow the manufacturer's care instructions
A high-quality box spring bed has an average lifespan of around 10 years. The individual components have different lifespans:
- Quality of the materials used
- Intensity of use, regular turning and flipping of the mattress
- Body weight of the user
- Regular and professional box-spring bed care
- Optimum room climate (16-18°C, 40-60% humidity)
It's time for a new box spring bed if:
- The mattress has clear sagging spots
- You wake up in the morning with back pain
- The springiness of the base box has deteriorated
- The frame or substructure has become unstable
- The bed appears unhygienic or smells unpleasant despite cleaning
With our box spring configurator, customising your box spring bed is child's play.
The BodyContour technology from roviva enables individual adjustment of sleeping comfort in the shoulder and pelvic areas. By manually adjusting the sliders, the spring elements can be set softer, which leads to noticeable relief for the shoulders and optimum support for the pelvis. This adjustment takes into account different body shapes, such as narrow or broad shoulders and different hip and pelvic shapes. The technology consists of three fibreglass-based double flex spring elements each in the shoulder and pelvic area. It is easy to adjust at any time and ensures optimum ventilation of the box and mattress. BodyContour technology is exclusively available as an additional option in cosynights boxspring beds without drives.

Warranty
Frequently asked questions about the warranty
We grant a full guarantee of 2 years on the usability of the mattress and the system frame under normal use, which includes material and processing defects. For repairs or replacements from the 3rd year onwards, the guarantee claim is reduced by 10% per year from the date of manufacture (pro rata guarantee to 10 years).
For system frames with electrically adjustable components, including drives and beds, we provide a 2-year full guarantee.
A 2-year guarantee applies to bedding (duvets and pillows). Within this period, production and material defects will be rectified by replacing or repairing defective components after they have been returned. For reasons of hygiene, used items will not be exchanged for new items.
The buyer bears the costs for transport and assembly in the case of warranty claims. The buyer is responsible for a replacement mattress during this period.
For reasons of hygiene, we can only take back clean products and inspect them for warranty claims
Our warranty service does not interrupt the current warranty period, nor does it start a new warranty period. The warranty period begins on the date of manufacture.
Not covered by warranty claims:
- normal wear and tear
- Consequences of improper use
- unsuitable adjustment to the weight and size of the sleeper and incorrect use
- Transport damage or other damage such as cracks, folds, torn off handles, defective zippers, soiling, e.g. through mildew stains (mould), consequential damage etc.
- Defects that are due to a bad, defective or unsuitable insert frame or underlay.
Please always keep your proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, please first contact the retailer from whom you purchased your product. They will be happy to help you.
Every new product initially has a specific odour. You do not need to worry about this, as the odour is harmless in every respect and dissipates after a short time during use.
For reasons of hygiene, we recommend that you do not use a mattress for longer than 7-10 years. Your mattress has served you well during this time.

Cleaning / Care
Frequently asked questions about care
No, after washing, it is best to let the cover air dry for one to two days. Tumble drying can cause the mattress cover to shrink. Make sure that the exposed mattress core is not exposed to direct sunlight during drying.
Avoid exposing your uncovered mattress core to direct sunlight.
Mildew (mold) can form at low room temperatures and insufficient air circulation (e.g. box beds).
A room temperature of 16-20 C° with a humidity of 45-60% is ideal for your mattress.
Regularly airing the bedroom guarantees a healthy and pleasant climate for you and your mattress.
The mattress pads need to breathe in order to be able to release the moisture absorbed during the night back into the air during the day. Therefore, let the mattress air out for at least half an hour before putting it in bed.
Yes. Turn the mattress regularly (also lengthways), e.g. when you change the bed linen. This allows the materials to recover better and avoids one-sided wear.
For regular cleaning, gently vacuuming the mattress is sufficient.
All removable mattress covers can be dry cleaned. Washable versions are specially marked. Please note the care instructions (sewn-in label).
For the washable versions with natural upholstery pads, select the wool wash cycle, hand wash cycle or gentle wash cycle at a maximum of 30° C. Only use wool detergent for washing and only fill the washing drum 1/3 full.
Do not spin the mattress cover.
Please note the sewn-in care instructions.
