Data protection declaration of roviva Roth & Cie AG

The protection and security of personal data is a high priority for us. Therefore, we strictly adhere to the rules of the DSG (CH) and the DSGVO (EU) in their current version.

In the following, we will inform you about what kind of data is collected and for what purpose it is collected. We will also inform you about tools that are used on our website. By using our website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of data in accordance with the following description.

Data transmission/data logging

When you visit this site, the web server automatically records log files that cannot be assigned to a specific person. This data includes, for example, browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address of the requesting computer, access date and time of the server request and the file request of the client (file name and URL). This data is collected only for the purpose of statistical analysis. It is not passed on to third parties, for commercial or non-commercial purposes.

Use of personal data

Personal data is only collected or processed if you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. as part of an enquiry. Unless there are necessary reasons in connection with a business transaction, you can revoke the previously granted approval of your personal data storage with immediate effect in writing (e.g. by e-mail or fax) at any time. Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is required by law.

Information, modification and deletion of your data

In accordance with applicable law, you can ask us in writing at any time whether and which personal data we have stored about you. You will receive a corresponding message immediately if you can identify yourself accordingly.

Security of your data

The personal data you provide us with is secured by taking all technical and organizational security measures to ensure that it is inaccessible to unauthorized third parties. When sending very sensitive data or information, it is recommended to use the postal service, as complete data security by email cannot always be guaranteed.

Amendments to this data protection declaration

We will update this data protection declaration from time to time. You should occasionally view this declaration to stay up to date on how we protect your data and constantly improve the content of our website. If we make significant changes to the collection, use and/or disclosure of the personal data you have provided to us, we will notify you by placing a clear and visible notice on the website. By using the website, you agree to the terms of these guidelines for the protection of personal data.

If you have any questions about these data protection provisions, please contact us via our contact page.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) over HTTPS.

Newsletter

When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be notified by e-mail of circumstances relevant to the service or registration (such as changes to the newsletter offer or technical conditions). We require a valid e-mail address for a valid registration. We use the “double opt-in” procedure to verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address. For this purpose, we log the order of the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the requested reply. Further data is not collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. Each newsletter contains a link for this purpose. You can also unsubscribe directly on this website at any time or inform us of your request using the contact details provided at the end of this data protection notice.

Contact form

If you contact us by email or using the contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and for possible follow-up questions.

Deletion or blocking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as required by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased to exist or these deadlines have expired, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with legal requirements.

Cookies

We use so-called “session cookies” on some of our pages to make it easier for you to use our websites. These are small text files that are stored on your hard drive only for the duration of your visit to our website and, depending on the settings of your browser program, are deleted when you close your browser. These cookies do not retrieve any information about you stored on your hard drive and do not affect your PC or your files. Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser to notify you when cookies are sent.

Social Plugins

Our website uses social plugins from the providers listed below. You can recognize the plugins by the fact that they are marked with the corresponding logo. Under certain circumstances, information, which may also include personal data, is sent to the service provider via these plugins and may be used by the service provider. We prevent the unconscious and unwanted collection and transmission of data to the service provider by means of a 2-click solution. To activate a desired social plugin, it must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding button. It is only by activating the plugin that the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider is triggered. We do not collect any personal data ourselves using the social plugins or about their use.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may be the case that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, are integrated into this online offering. This always requires the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) to be aware of the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We endeavor to use only content from providers who use the IP address solely for the purpose of delivering the content. However, we have no influence over whether or not the third-party providers store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. We will inform users if and when we become aware of such instances.

List of plugins

We have no influence over what data an activated plug-in collects and how it is used by the provider. At present, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider's services is established and that at least the IP address and device-related information is collected and used. It is also possible that the service providers may attempt to store cookies on the computer used. Please refer to the data protection information of the respective service provider to find out which specific data is collected and how it is used. Note: If you are logged into Facebook at the same time, Facebook can identify you as a visitor to a particular page.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager, a function for integrating tags into our website. This records the IP address for incoming http requests and stores it temporarily in order to be able to correct errors in the integration.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is an analysis tool that statistically processes data about how users use our website. It sends information about page views and user steps (e.g. the duration, sequence and URL of visits and page views, the page from which the user came, as well as information about the device, operating system, browser and settings used and the approximate location) to Google's servers. It uses cookies and similar means, e.g. so-called tracking pixels, to recognize users and to be able to assign various steps and visits across different devices and sessions to them; this is done by means of anonymous features, such as random identification numbers. No personal data is transmitted to Google; IP addresses, which are used for geographical assignment, are “masked” in advance (shortened by certain digits). Google explains further details in its data protection documentation. You can disable Google Analytics for your browser using an add-on.

Google Dynamic Remarketing

Google Dynamic Remarketing is used by us to compile groups and lists of users and website visitors based on criteria such as certain activities or from existing data sets (e.g. newsletter subscribers) by means of anonymized ID labels that are assigned by cookies (e.g. from Google Analytics) in order to offer them information and advertising for our services and content that is tailored to their interests and preferences. Google also uses cookies for this purpose. You can prevent the use of these cookies specifically for advertising on Google services and a number of other providers (on the Digital Advertising Alliance).

Google Adwords Conversion

Google AdWords Conversions and Google DoubleClick Floodlight allow us to determine how clicks on ads or information on Google platforms effectively lead to transactions and similar user actions with us. These features use temporary cookies from Google and do not process individual user data. You can use the options provided by Google to prevent these cookies from being used or you can adjust your browser settings accordingly.

Google Adwords User List

“Google AdWords User Lists“ and ‘Google Dynamic Remarketing’ are products of Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (”Google"). Our website uses a pixel provided by Google that establishes a direct connection to Google's servers. The information that you have visited our website is transmitted to the Google server. Google links this information with a unique ID that is stored on your end device in the form of a cookie or provided by your end device (“advertising ID” for smartphones). If you visit other websites that also use “Google AdWords User Lists”/“Google Dynamic Remarketing”, this information will also be linked to your unique ID. However, we cannot see which other websites you visit.

Privacy Policy for the use of Google+

Our pages use Google+ features. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Collection and sharing of information: Use the Google+ button to publish information worldwide. The Google+ button will help you and others to get personalized content from Google and our partners. Google stores both the information that you have provided for a +1 content and information about the page that you viewed when you clicked on +1. Your +1's may be displayed as references along with your profile name and photo in Google services, such as in search results or in your Google profile, or in other places on websites and ads on the internet.

Google records information about your +1 activities to improve Google services for you and others. To use the Google+ button, you need a globally visible, public Google profile that must contain at least the name chosen for the profile. This name is used in all Google services. In some cases, this name may also replace a different name that you used when sharing content via your Google account. The identity of your Google profile may be displayed to users who know your email address or have other identifying information about you.

Use of the collected information: In addition to the uses described above, the information you provide will be used in accordance with the applicable Google data protection policy. Google may publish summarized statistics about users' +1 activity or share it with users and partners, such as publishers, advertisers, or affiliate websites.

Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps service to display maps and create travel plans. The provider of this service is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use by Google, one of its representatives or third parties, of the data collected and entered by you.

YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The corresponding plug-ins are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. This tells YouTube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your surfing behavior with you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand. When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

If you have disabled cookies for the Google Ad program, you can be sure that no such cookies will be set when you watch YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser. For more information about YouTube's privacy policy, please see the provider's privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy
